As part of a whole-house renovation, our client requested we complete the master bath first. We proceeded by reconfiguring the bath: we removed existing windows and replaced them with new ones, enlarged and built a new curbless shower, reframed the shower wall and re-tiled the shower floor and walls, and installed new shower fixtures and a new free-standing soaking tub. A new double vanity with stacked stone counter, sink and make-up vanity were installed as well as a new storage wall cabinet and a linen closet. Additionally, new floor tiles in the master bath and closet were installed. We raised the floor to match the wood flooring in the bedroom. Walls, ceilings and trim work was primed and painted. New ceiling and sconce lighting was added along with new mirrors and bath hardware giving this bathroom a stunning effect. Much to their delight, our clients have an escape awaiting them each and every day.
The next area we renovated was the kitchen which is always dear to our hearts as it is the heart of the home. We designed a completely new, open layout that provided elegance, functionality and brightness to an otherwise dark, dated and cluttered space.
We began by removing two columns to create better flow between the living room and kitchen which provided an open, functional space. We built a large 9′ 2″ island featuring Brazilian Fusion quartzite countertops with an integrated sink and an under the counter beverage fridge. To tie it all together we bookmatched the stone throughout the kitchen instead of using a traditional backsplash.
To complete the grand chef’s kitchen, we installed a warming drawer under the microwave. Other customization and personal touches we added for our client include white cabinetry with honey bronze hardware and mixed metal finishes for appliances. In addition, the lighting features matte gold pendants which exude modern sophistication while showcasing crisp, clean lines. Our clients were excited to finally have their dream chef kitchen and to be able to enjoy their stunning space with family and friends.
