This gorgeous kitchen was part of a whole home renovation where the homeowner was seeking a gourmet kitchen experience. They had a very small pantry, dated appliances, and the prep space was not adequate. There were several main goals.
We wanted to center the large Miele range on the focal wall of the kitchen, incorporate column refrigeration with a wine unit included, and design a bar area that felt special on its own, but still a part of the kitchen aesthetics. The client was interested in a design palette that was airy and bright but incorporated some earthy elements, such as the rustic wood vent hood and the matte black accents. We were able to achieve all of these goals and some very happy clients!
The new design is a mix of clean line cabinetry with custom rustic touches. The matte black lighting, plumbing and cabinet hardware provide a grounding element while the marble mosaic backsplash ties it all together with a high-end look.
We also renovated the family room.
This fabulous fireplace was designed around the need for several key elements that the homeowner desired to incorporate on a highlight wall for the family room. The focal point of the wall is the 3D copper horse sculpture and it needed to be inset into a niche to accommodate the depth. We needed to incorporate a linear fireplace and an oversized television as well. Finally, we had a doorway to the AV closet that could not be moved. We decided that the textural and calming beauty of stacked stone provided the perfect backdrop to balance it all out.
